For those of you who are wed or planning to, you will be able to appreciate that when you are planning the day you tie the knot, you imagine a day where the warmth of the sun bursts through your window early in the morning with the joyful sound of birds singing and playing in the trees. You imagine your bridal party in the morning praising the weather and feeling a day of perfection ahead as you get ready for the biggest day of your life. 999 times out of 1000 every one will be planning for a sunny day on their wedding or at least would like a sunny day. I am yet to come across a couple that desire to have a wedding day that has torrential rain... And rightly so!
Elisha+Laura are one of those couple that joins all of us that desires a sunny day on our wedding, but unfortunately mother nature didn't seem to be working from the same blueprint for the day. On the morning of their wedding it was torrential rain and forecast for more rain. With an outdoor ceremony planned it was time to head inside for an intimate plan 'B'.
It's times like these when I see a bride rise above the weather conditions and decide to enjoy the day regardless of the lack of sunshine that really makes me stoked to be a wedding photographer.
Here's the highlights from Elisha+Laura's wedding at Long Reef Golf Course on Sydney's Northern Beaches. We even had a break in the rain and dashed outside for some shots...
Enjoy!
